Balasana

     

    Balasana is a unique exercise and is type of Yoga. It is basically Hatha yoga posture known as posture of child. This pose is originated from a child’s resting posture.The basic technique of this posture is to sit, bent your legs that is your knees are bent touching down to yoga mat, shins and feet supporting whole body, and chest can be supported either by knees or spread legs according to the yoga mat, in such away to support chest and belly.  Forehead must be touching floor,

    by stretching head, neck and ribs must be in relaxed position. Arms must be stretched backwards or forward, according to posture of the body. These above stated actions make the posture of Balasana. Balasana posture can be made active by taking long breathing, that is, taking lot of air inside and outside in equal intervals of time, these actions are very useful to relax and calm our body. This technique is done after the headstand or sirsana technique because sirsana technique makes body to feel fatigue and exhausted, this technique helps to calm our body and high rate of breathing makes internal changes to relax. Some instructor thinks that this makes easier for students to relax and forget their tensions, and releases workload tensions and mind fatigue. Some believers of Yoga recommend this technique to be useful, to open our muscular tissues and parts of our body, like legs, arms, feet and chest.

    Balasana technique gives many benefits to its users; it just not only relaxes our body but as well as our mind. If we start balasana daily it just not only helps to maintain our posture, but it also helps to create healthier and strong body posture. It helps to stretch our legs, arms, thighs, neck, spine, feet, ankles, and upper and lower abs gently and removes stress and pain. It soothes and calms brain; sometimes it is easier to release tension or mental stress through Bal sana. Some patients of neck or spine, exercises this technique to remove their pain and fatigue.
