This technique is not exercised until body is fully warmed up. The basic technique is to stretch body and take breathing wise and gently, that is, to make good coordination between body and breathing. We stretch our abdominal muscles along with our back and keep good movement of center of the body and thus coordinating our breath and movement, just like a cat stretches its body and releases fatigue. The basic technique to practice is to lay down on yoga mat and start with your hands to be fully spread and all fingers to grip the ground, move your legs according to the knees and hips distance horizontally, your back must face upwards and should be in line according to spine and neck, so your eyes, belly, chest and your knees will face the ground, now take high breathing according to equal intervals of time, so that your chest expands and navel lowers in every intake and outtake of air. Inhale air and keep it tight until you move your shoulders downwards with the movement of your back then initiate the movement of your navel and move your spine round with exhale of air.
There are many advantages of Bidalasana, it is a good exercise for people who work in offices for long working hours, it gives a good combination of releasing fatigue & stress. It not just only releases the physical pains but also soothes and calms our nervous tissues. Nervous tissues are present all over the body, which controls our different body parts; these nervous tissues need proper massage and relaxation, so this exercise relaxes our body nervous tissues. Peoples who sit in front of televisions or computer uses this exercise to keep their mind relaxed. This posture helps to reduce tension from our spine, shoulders and back bone. There must be some precautions to be taken before practicing this exercise, first we should warm up our body before exercising and people who are suffering from blood pressures must not take this technique.
