Natarajasana is a unique technique in yoga exercises, it is also known as the dancing pose or posture. It is derived from two Sanskrit words, Nataraj and asana, Nataraj means dancing and asana means posture. It is unique in sense that all men, women and children can do it easily under supervision of professional instructor. This exercise is practiced by 90 percent students of the world and is also practiced in big institutes of yoga all over the world. This exercise is best for legs, thighs, shoulders, chest and middle region of the body. It is very helpful to make our body flexible and strong. |

Some instructors of yoga thinks that natarajasana is useful for concentration and balancing of our body parts like, chest, legs, abdominal region, shoulders, arms, and parts of belly. It expands the chest gently and removes pain and fatigue from shoulders. Natarajasana is basically a standing pose or posture, which concentrates the parts of whole body and reduces the problems of body posture.
The basic technique to do Natarajasana is to, stand straight at the yoga mattress and find a center to balance or gaze your body. Then try to stand on one leg and put all weight of the body on that leg, now gently bend the knee of other leg and grip ankle of that foot with hand of same side. Now properly balance your body, and keep both knees in alignment of hips. Now take deep breath and stretch all lower muscles. Now inhale and stretch your arm on the opposite side, which covers the shoulders and fingers directly points in the direction of sky. In this phase you will feel the energy passing throughout the body. If you want to move further move forward in the same direction, while lengthening your legs and arms, in the same posture inhale and exhale air, stretch in inhale and relax on exhale of air. Making a stretch of arm and bend of leg, in forward and backward direction. |
