Padmasana gives many benefits to the student as it helps to retain the posture of spine, back, bladder, and abdomen and pelvis region of the body. It also reduces serious and chronic pain of body like menstrual pain and sciatica pain. It is also good exercise for feet, ankles, legs and toes. This posture is considered best for pregnant women, as it creates ease during child birth. It also helps mind and brain to stay calm and releases fatigue. Instructor’s advice their students to do this exercise before doing some spiritual or mind refreshing exercises.
There are some precautions to be taken while doing this exercise, avoid doing this exercise under noise and disturbance. Pressures are exerted on legs and thighs so you should be doing this under supervision of some instructor.
