| Sasangasana |
Sasangasana is the unique technique in yoga, which is practiced by 95 percent of students all over the world. Sasangasana is derived from words of Sanskrit, sasang means rabbit or hare, and asana means posture, position or pose. So sasangasana collectively means posture of rabbit. This technique is practiced in all institutes of yoga all over the world and is considered as the major exercise in Japan, China and India. It is considered best for body parts like arms, back bone, legs, spine and middle region of the body. It is good technique for both men and women, and children can also enjoy this exercise in their schools in the presence of professional teacher of yoga. |

Sasangasana is good and best technique to handle and maintain perfect postures. Technique refers to the posture of rabbit, which runs fast and have flexible and strong body. Many instructors and teachers thinks that Sasangasana is quiet unique in sense of posture and internal sensitive organs of the body.
The basic technique to do sasangasana is, to sit down on yoga mattress on support of both knees, heels at the back and supporting or balancing whole body. Now stretch your head towards the forward direction and bring forehead closer to the knees, and touching some part of head on the floor to balance body. Hands must touch heels and they must stay at back, this posture can be referred to the child’s posture. Now inhale and try to move hips in upwards direction by gripping heels tightly with the help of hands, forehead must be close to the knees and some part of head must touch the floor. Now breathe 5 to 8 breathes, so that your body feels some relief. Now to come back to the original position, exhale air and gently move your hips in the downward direction, push your forehead back in child’s pose situation, loosen up your grip and release the posture. This technique must be practiced 5 to 6 times.
