Savasana is a very famous and regularly used posture in yoga. As the word savasana is derived from Sanskrit language so this word means relaxing posture and it’s also known as the corpse pose. This posture is very important and relaxing posture .while this is very important between those postures which are exhausting. Thus this posture provides mental and physical relaxation. The person who performs it feels itself fee and the circulation normal than before. This posture can be done between any yoga posture and it has no limitations.
In yoga one can get maximum benefits out of any posture if it is done with the right way. So the best way of doing this posture is as under.
First you have to lie on the floor on any mattress and allow yourself total mid and physical relaxation. Leave your body in a free flow and place your arms on the side of your body. Keep your feet pointing forward and the heels should be slightly touching the ground. Now feel yourself free from all the mind tensions and forget and thinking and be in a sense of peace. Thus one should only concentrate to lose all the mind retentions.
Following are the few steps that will help you to relax yourself in a higher rate.
1. During this posture slowly inhale. While inhaling one this should be in the mind that you should inhale only through the nostrils because nostrils helps to keep the impurities out of the body. During the inhale contract all the muscles of the foot, toes and ankle .now exhale the air and relax.
2. Now slowly inhale the air and again contract the muscles of calves, kneecaps, toes and foothold these muscles and then release and then relax yourself.
