| Simhasana |
Simhasana is a famous posture in yoga.simhasana is derived from Sanskrit. This posture is also known as lion posture. This posture is a easy posture and is without restriction of age. This posture is famous in India and other Asian countries. An alternative word for this posture is bhairavasana. According to the translation from Sanskrit .simha means lion and asana means posture. This posture is named as lion posture as the person who performs this posture resembles his/her face with the lion, by extended tongue from the mouth. |

This proper way of performing this posture involves four basic steps. As earlier discussed than it is easier than other yoga postures.
- The first step involves the body placement. Sit on the ground in a kneel pattern in such a way that your hands are on your knee caps and the foot touching your hips. And weight of whole the body is one the knee.legs, calves and the toes pointing backwards. Your heads and neck should be erect between the shoulders.
- Now put your palms on the knee accordingly and press the knee caps with your palm.. This posture is named as thunderbolt or vijrasana.
- Now open your mouth and exhale from your nose. Now extend your tongue out side of your mouth so that in touches your chin along with this stretches your jaw and teeth .hold the breath for some seconds along with the lower pull in and stretch your facial muscle and expressions that the face depicts terrifying expressions.
- Stay in this final position for 10 to 20 seconds or at a breakpoint according to your body.
